Holiday Happenings
Give the gift of togetherness, because “healing happens together.”
The Holidays should be a time of celebration, shared with family and loved ones. Unfortunately, our families are forced to deal with the hardships of caring for a sick or injured child over the Holidays and must be away from home. At the Ronald McDonald House, we do everything we can to ensure that our families have an enjoyable stay and find all the comforts of home. Please help us give them the Holiday they deserve.
Ways to get involved during the Holiday Season:
Light-A-Luminary
Through our Light-A-Luminary project, the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern North Carolina honors those families who are unable to spend the Holidays with their loved ones. Help us brighten the streets in communities all over Eastern North Carolina, in hopes that this gesture will help our families find their way home.
Luminary kits can be purchased for $10 – the cost to stay in the House for one night. Each kit includes 10 white bags, candles and sand. Most yards require 2 kits. Luminaries can be lit throughout the Holiday Season, but we ask that participants light them at 6pm on Dec. 24th to light up the community.
Purchase your kits at the following locations:
Greenville:
Edible Arrangements - 642 E. Arlington Blvd.
Glisson Metals - 320 Pactolus Hwy
Henry's Trees - 531 W. Firetower Rd.
Plant & See Nursery - 4062 Old Tar Rd. (Winterville)
