Ronald McDonald Family Room

The Ronald McDonald House of Eastern North Carolina is excited to announce that we are expanding our services! In June of 2013, we will open the doors to a new facility inside the James & Connie Maynard Children's Hosptial at Vidant Medical Center. This facility will provide a common area in the new Children's Hospital, allowing us to serve any family with a child receiving treatment at Vidant Medical Center. When complete, our Family Room will make up a 2500 sq. ft. space on the first floor, complete with all amenities of the Ronald McDonald House, with the exception of beds. Families will find a much-needed place of respite in the Family Room, giving them a space to have a snack, watch tv, read a book and even take a shower. This common area will also have a playroom to entertain children and their siblings, a full laundry room and a spacious patio.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Volunteers are needed for 3 hour shifts to operate this new facility. Duties will include light housekeeping, touring the facility for new families and ensuring that the room is a warm and comforting envrionment. Volunteers must be dependable and at least 18 years old.
