RMH Teen Ambassador Program
"We cannot always build the future for our youth, but we can build our youth for the future." - FDR
The Teen Ambassador Program is comprised of a select group of high school students. Teens are chosen based on academic merit and commitment to volunteering. The service year is one school year, October—May. Teens will develop and lead one or more Teen Ambassador program at the House and actively participate in meetings, Teen Ambassador work days and other special events.
The Ronald McDonald House of Eastern NC Teen Ambassadors is a group of young people from local schools who uphold and enforce our mission. Their purpose is to create awareness, raise funds and support the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern NC.
The purpose of the Teen Ambassador Program is to encourage high school students to become more active in community service by supporting RMHENC, and to create awareness and encourage support of the House in the student’s school and community. Teens will gain an understanding of several aspects of a non-profit organization.
Teens will serve as coordinators in their communities and schools for Wish List drives, Pop Tab collections, Ron-A-Thon, Luminaries and various other Ronald McDonald House of Eastern NC-centered events.
The Teen Ambassadors meet monthly with at least one representative from the Ronald McDonald House. Meetings may occur more frequently if necessary.
