One of the greatest gifts you can give our families......is the gift of your time.

Our Volunteers demonstrate strength in numbers! In 2011, 442 volunteers served our families for a total of 3,043 hours! In addition, 267 meals were served by 83 different community groups! Think you could offer your special skills to the Ronald McDonald House? Contact us today! (252) 847-9127

Volunteer Banquet 2012 - February 29, 2012

This year, we celebrated our volunteers with a "Strength in Numbers" themed Volunteer Banquet. In honor of the Ronald McDonald House of Eastern NC's 25th birthday, all past Volunteers of the Year were invited to share the afternoon with us. Tables were decorated with fun facts and statistics of the past 25 years, along with cards from our guests, thanking the volunteers for the hard work.

Several volunteers were honored with 5, 10 and 15 year awards, and Jennifer Smith was honored with the "Volunteer of the Year" award.

On behalf of the staff and guests of the Ronald McDonald House, we would like to say "thank you" for your endless dedication and commitment to making our House a home.

Our Annual Volunteer Banquet- March 30, 2011

On March 30, 2011 we celebrated our volunteers.  Our theme for this year’s banquet was “Volunteers Plant the Seeds of Kindness.”  40 volunteers were in attendance representing our Board of Directors, individual volunteers, and meal groups and quilting guilds.

Carol Farkas received her 10 year of service award.  Carol
calls Bingo at the House.   The families really look forward to seeing every Thursday evening.

Kathy and Jerry Barnes were awarded the Volunteer of the Year award.  They prepare meals for our families twice a month as well as take our donated pop tabs to the recycling center.

We appreciate all of our volunteers for their dedicated support of the families that stay with us.  They truly plant the seeds of kindness every time they enter the House.
